What data we process
- User account (optional): If you create an account with your email and password or with your Google account, we store your email address (and, with Google, your name and profile photo) and what you record in the app: saved and completed routes, route ratings, parks visited, species observed, plans and achievements. Purpose: to keep your progress. Legal basis: providing the service you ask for when you sign up. Kept for as long as you have the account.
- Google Analytics: Pages visited, visit length, device type and country, without identifying you by name. Purpose: to know which content is useful. Legal basis: consent; it only runs if you accept cookies.
- Microsoft Clarity: How pages are used (clicks, scrolling, pointer movements) and session recordings in which anything typed into forms is hidden. Purpose: to improve design and ease of use. Legal basis: consent; it only runs if you accept cookies.
- Google AdSense: Ads. If you accept cookies, Google may use advertising cookies to show you personalised ads. Legal basis: consent. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
- Booking.com and Civitatis: Affiliate links to accommodation and activities. These companies may set cookies when you click. We do not receive the personal data of people who book.
Cookies and storage on your device
- Technical (always): The app stores in your browser your cookie choice, your account session and the routes you save for offline use. They are needed for it to work.
- Analytics (with consent): Google Analytics (_ga and others, up to 2 years) and Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk and others, up to 1 year).
- Advertising (with consent): Google AdSense, up to 13 months.
