About the Park
Redes Natural Park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and a protected space of deep valleys and dense beech and oak forests. It is a vital refuge for emblematic species like the brown bear and the capercaillie. This protected area offers a unique experience of immersion in nature, with exceptional biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes.

Recommended Routes
Ascension to Peña del Viento
High mountains in their purest form. From the mythical Brañagallones, this circular route conquers two emblematic peaks: the Peña del Viento and the Cantu l'Osu, offering the best panoramic views of the Redes Natural Park.
Brañagallones Route
The Route to Brañagallones (PR.AS-66) is a trip to the wild heart of Redes. Ascend from Bezanes through magical forests until reaching a spectacular glacial cirque, home of the capercaillie and one of the most beautiful brañas in the Cantabrian Mountains.
Route to the Vega de Pociellu
A deep dive into the Redes forest. The route crosses the spectacular Fabucao beech forest to reach Pociellu, one of the largest and most remote sheepfolds in the park, located at the head of the Nalón River.
