A Vertigo Route
The Senda del Cartero (PR-AS 282) is one of the most spectacular routes with the most history in the Ponga Natural Park. In the past, it was the route that the postman used to carry mail to towns perched on the mountains, such as Casielles.
The Path
The route begins near the Vidosa Bridge, in the impressive Desfiladero de los Beyos. It is a cobbled path, literally carved into the vertical limestone wall. Although the slope is steep and short, the views over the Sella River and the gorge are breathtaking.
Precautions
It is not a route suitable for people with vertigo due to its exposure to vacuum in some sections. However, for mountain lovers, it is a unique experience that combines adrenaline with the wild beauty of Ponga.
