Route Description

The Path of the Postman is much more than a path; It is a monument to human tenacity. For decades, this was the only access for the postman and the residents of the villages hanging over the abyss of the Sella River.

The start at Puente Vidosa (famous for its waterfall) does not give up. The path faces the wall of the gorge with a brutal slope, overcoming the gap using stone steps armed with infinite patience.

The key point is the sedo: a horizontal step carved into the rock with an impressive vertical drop towards the Beyos. Although there is a chain to provide security, the patio commands absolute respect.

Upon overcoming the wall, the landscape becomes humanized upon reaching Biamón, a ghost village where the vegetation slowly devours the stone houses. An overwhelming place. From there, we connect with Casielles, famous for its “23 revolutions” road, and we look for our way back to close an unforgettable but demanding circular.

• Safety: RISK OF FALLING. Do not try it if you have vertigo, if it is raining or if you are not used to climbing/descending.
• Children: This is not a route for children.
• Water: Bring plenty of water, the effort is intense and the sources may be dry or not drinkable.
