Muniellos Center

Welcome to Muniellos

The Interpretation Center of the Muniellos Integral Natural Reserve is much more than an information point; It is the welcoming sanctuary to one of the most important forests on the continent. Located between Oballo and Moal (on the Connio pass road, km 5), outside the boundaries of the reserve, it is free to visit and no permit is required. It should not be confused with the Las Tablizas Visitor Reception Centre, already inside the reserve, where the authorised visits begin.

What do you offer?

The center has interactive exhibitions devoted to the Muniellos forest: its flora and fauna, a bird’s-eye-view projection and a scale model of the Biosphere Reserve.

The Accessible Route

Around the Las Tablizas Visitor Reception Centre there is an accessible 500 m self-guided trail along the riverbank, with information in braille, and the path from Moal to Tablizas is also accessible. They let you go a few meters into the forest and feel the magic of the centuries-old oaks and the sound of the Muniellos River without having to take the full 20 km route.
