The best panoramic view to understand the immensity of Muniellos without the need for permits. A window open to the infinite forest.
Look into the Green Infinity
If you have not obtained permission to enter Muniellos, or simply want to have a global view of the forest, the Mirador del Connio is the place. Located at the top of the port of the same name (1,315 m), it connects the municipalities of Cangas del Narcea and Ibias.
Views
From here, the view is lost in a sea of trees. You will see the complete bucket of the Muniellos Integral Reserve. It is a perfect place to understand the orography of the park: steep slopes thick with vegetation where humans have barely left their mark.
Fauna Observation
It is a strategic point for nature lovers equipped with binoculars or ground-based telescopes. At dawn or dusk, with patience and silence, it is possible to spot brown bears feeding in the clearings on the opposite slopes.
Access
It is reached through the highway AS-211. The road is mountainous, winding and narrow in some places, but of great scenic beauty. The viewpoint has a small parking area and interpretive panels that will help you identify the peaks and valleys before you.
