Dawn Route

Declared a Natural Monument, this route runs parallel to the Alba River between waterfalls and a limestone gorge.

The Murmur of the Water

The Ruta del Alba (PR-AS 62) is, without a doubt, the most popular and accessible in the Redes Natural Park. Declared a Natural Monument, it always walks next to the river, offering a spectacle of waterfalls, crystalline pools and riverside vegetation.

The Tour

  • Start: Soto de Agues.
  • Destination: Cruz de los Ríos (a shepherds’ refuge).
  • Distance: About 14 km (round trip).
  • Difficulty: Low.

The first part is a comfortable paved track, ideal for bikes or strollers. As you enter the gorge (Las Foces de Llaímo), the path narrows, the rock walls close in on you and the river roars louder.

Pure Nature

The sound of water is the constant protagonist. In quieter areas, look for the dipper dipping. On the vertical walls, it is possible to see chamois defying gravity.
